What is hot stamping?
Last updated on
Hot stamping is embossing with a metallic finish. This effect is achieved by applying a foil layer between the relief stamp and the surface to be decorated.
This technique creates a unique 3D effect finished with silver or gold and is ideal for leather and PU leather.
How does hot stamping work?
In a hot stamping machine, a mold is mounted and heated, with the product to be decorated underneath. A metallized roll-leaf carrier is inserted between the machine and the product. During the production process, the mold presses through it. Pressure and heat cause the film to detach from the roll-leaf carrier and adhere to the product.
