Hello everyone! Today we’re presenting our new IT interns Toon and Vahid. Get to know them in this blog!
Hi, my name is Toon. I’m 21 years old and I’m from Maasmechelen. I’m in my second year of programming at PXL. Before this, I studied a course in the healthcare sector, but that wasn't really my cup of tea. So I continued my study from high school, where I also followed programming. Since I was a kid, I was always busy with computers and finding out new technical stuff, so I've always been interested in IT. I also love problem solving, which is a very useful skillset to have in IT.
I found PrintSimple through an online vacancy, which interested me. For the last couple of years I’ve been uploading designs on Redbubble, an online on demand printshop, which sparked my curiosity for PrintSimple. Through this internship, I’m combining my interests with my studies. Outside of that I also play the guitar and love listening to music, especially rap. I also try to be in good shape, so in my free time I do fitness and go biking sometimes.
Hello, I’m Vahid. I’m 43 years old and I’m a proud father of 2 kids. Just like Toon, I’m also studying programming at PXL. Originally I'm from Iran where I had my own business in tech style. I moved to Belgium to start a new business, but COVID and other things have prevented me do this. I already have an IT bachelor from when I was living in Iran, but that was from a long time ago. So now I’m studying programming to get back on track and freshen up my knowledge. I love to spend my time on IT-related stuff, toying with high-tech gadgets and just a big interest and passion for this field. My other hobbies are football, tennis and playing with my kids.
I also found PrintSimple through an online vacancy. The things that really spoke to me were the corporate culture and the team there. At PrintSimple we have a small team, which gives you a familial and friendly atmosphere when working here. You have more chances to really learn something here and have an impact.
